So I found a bed bug on my bed today. It was just there crawling on my pillow. Both my sister and brother have some bites on their arms, hands and back that have just occurred recently, maybe in the past 2 months or so. My parents just assumed that they were mosquito bites or something. And my mom has also found some bites on her hands in the past few days. I've check on the internet and remember what they look like from a while ago when a neighbor had an infestation, so I know its definitely a bed bug. Could this one bug had maybe come into the house by accident or could my house have a possible infestation?

Either way my mom freaked out and has started laundering and throwing away pillows and stuff like a mad woman, but any help and past experience with these nasty little things would greatly help. Thank You.

I feel there are extra of them and they're tough to discover. They sleep for the duration of the day and lively round five am within the morning only for 10-15 minutes to discover blood. I had mattress worm infestation simply few months in the past and primary I did not see them on my mattress however after cautious inspection, there have been extra of them. You must be REALLY cautious whilst you check out your mattress. They are so tiny and now not lively a lot. If you discover them spray with Raid Ant & Roach, they are going to die immediately. Buy bed protector and canopy your mattress with that, wash your mattress sheets and comforter in scorching water and dry it scorching too. After that spray the ground round your mattress with Raid Ant & Roach (kills on touch). Repeat after per week for no less than two-three months. This is to make certain that they do not chunk you while you are dozing and to kill those who disguise external your mattress. You can spray the ground round your bed room wall too and repeat bi-weekly. Thanks God that they are not able to fly!!

There is almost no chance at all that you had only one bedbug. The good news is that washing the linens in hot water usually kills them. If you want to be certain, call in a professional exterminator.

It's best to be over cautious like your mom if you really want to get rid of them. Insects carry diseases, find a spray that won't harm pets and spray eveything but food areas.

You have them. DDT worked to get rid of them and it was safe but environmentalist spread lies about DDT and got it banned. So you are now stuck with them.
