There are Reptiles (Alligator, Crocodile, Rattlesnake, etc)

There are Birds (Bald Eagle, Osprey, Woodpecker, etc)

There are Mammals (Black Bear, Florida Panther, Gray Fox, etc)

One of the plants currently in the Everglades is an invasive species of plant known as the Melaluca. It was purposely planted to try to dry up the Everglades to use the land for other purposes and has tried to take over.

One of the companies that I buy mulch from is a company known as "Florimulch" and they grind this tree up for mulch. Not only does it get rid of the invasive species, but saves millions of pounds of cypress harvested into mulch each year. In fact, to help save the horrible cultivation of cypress just for mulch, I only buy mulch made from melaluca.

If this is for a project, you might want to look a little into areas like this also.
