The biggest effect on global warming is H.A.A.R.P. and the Russian equivalent G.W.E.N. Go study about H.A.A.R.P. but don't stop with their official sight. See also if you can find a copy of "Angels don't play this H.A.A.R.P." a vary interesting book to read.

Good luck on your project and maybe you can shed some light on the real culprit of so called global warming. I have given you a couple of sites to look at to get you started. There is much more but I want you to find it.

It's all the latest scam. Remember Y2K? Most everyone was predicting doom and gloom and the end of our world as we know it. And what happened? Nothing, absolutely nothing! What did the news media say the day after, not much, just that nothing had happened! The forces behind global warming are predicting what the temperatures will be a 100 years in the future! Give me a break, meteorologists can't even accurately predict the temperature for tomorrow with certainty! I know---

I work with 20 meteorologists. Most of them believe that the earth warms and cools by a couple of degees in natural cycles. To try and silence the "experts" a higher up from one of the national meteorological agencies wants to discredit any meterologist that does not go along with global warming. It's been al over the radio talks shows this week. How about the blizzard happening right now in the Northeast, the global warmnists are pretty quiet right now, heh. I saw a TV comedy skit the other night where they were announcing the death of Al Gore, the great proponent of global warming, saying he had frozen to death in the blizzard. It was hilarious! Why not look deeper into what this farce is meant to do to our society? It would be an interesting paper. Government is always trying to gain more control over the masses in anyway it can. Trying to scare or shame us into relinquishing more and more of our rights and freedoms. Good luck to you as you investigate the real reasons for the global warming hype. Remember do not believe everything that you read; consider the source.

Global warming is at the fore front because politicians found how to use a new platform to get re-elected. The world leaders use it because they found ways to make money at it. This is a made up problem just like Global Cooling in the 1970's. Wake up people. I agree we need to be more efficient with our resources, and we should fine and jail companies who are dumping into our rivers maliciously. I want to stop the raiforest destruction, but to say that global warming is a serious man made issue and we need to destroy the American economy and bow down to the rest of the world certainly does not float my boat. Follow the money on this one and you will see that it is all for political gain and grant money for those scientists who profit off of the government if global warming stays at the front of the issues. Look deep into the Keoto (sp?) Treaty, first of all they took jets to a non-central resort location. Not very environmentally concious. THen in the parameters of the treaty they have a clause that makes it so you can buy or sell polution credits. This is all about shifting wealth and breaking down the United States. This is painfully obvious, just look at peoples agenda. The earth's mean temperature has risen .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. Greenland's icecaps have gotten colder in the past 10 years. The Scientists who do not gain anything on their posisition will tell you that the earth has a natural progression and this is what we are seeing. The UN report is made up of POLITICIANS not a good spread of scientists. THere are as many or more scientists who believe that man in NOT the reason and it is over hyped, but their voice is not heard in the LIberal Mainstream Media. This issue is 99% political, and an attempt to make the USA a socialist nation, and eventually communisim. WAKE UP AMERICA, IT IS TIME TO BE AMERICANS. FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. STOP THE LIES

Definitely, but by how much is the question. Methane and carbon dioxide contribute to the greenhouse effect, and we've taken carbon that's been out of circulation for a long time and put it into the air. We've raised the CO2 levels from somewhere around 250 parts per million to over 280 ppm... that's at least a 12% increase. The really befuddling thing is that we know how much carbon we're burning (more or less) so we should know how fast the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere is increasing, but the numbers don't stack up. Even this simple bit of science is difficult. Have fun with this project, but try to keep it scientific. Al Gore is not a scientist, by the way.

Absolutely. If anyone doesn't believe this, then go watch Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" or read any science journal. People cause global warming. Aerosols, pollution, toxic waste, these all cause global warming. The government just does not care.

Well, some scientists say no and some scientists say yes. There are no experiments proving that we are, and Mars is heating up without humans. Some say global warming is a natural cycle.

unfortunatley there is no real science behind these theories. We have very little to go by since man has not been recording temps etc for much more than a hundred years. This is mostly a political topic that is spread across the world. Sort of a power play type thing.

I think i heard in the television people can affect global warming by farting. I'm serious.

My naiive darling, of course people are. Factories, cars and people not taking care of our enviorment are causing global warming.

There's no proof that man has an effect on it.

people are the ones that pollute in the air...gasoline goes into the air so often that if people dont stop trying gas cars soon then the iceburgs will melt even at a faster rate...and soon the water will be so full that it will wipe out land...maybe even as big as a whole continent

of course we are .

all or most of it is our fault.everything we do effects global warming. do a little reserch on it. it will surprise you.

god help the people in the futhure.

The scientific consensus says "yes"!

For an even handed review, read this

Is global warming a man-made menace?

not all there are natural cycles in the planets life

but a lot is influenced by mans existance ,and this is increasing with overpopulation, putting strains on Natural resources and increasing contaminations as well as destructions of essential componants the ensure living conditions for all life forms

some home truths

politicians and scientists who work for politicians have downplayed the facts because solutions are expensive and means change and change effects many people income, and most of the world is kept in the dark of the real things that are going on.

in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification

in recent times thousands of people have died because of exessive heat, usually old people.in India ,Mexico and France,

deforestation causing desertification, the desert conditions causing very cold nights and scorching hot days

in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert, the globe where they were got to hot for them .

and instead of producing food they are now needing it from some where else, and they will drastically effect the world food prices when they start buying water in the form of grains ,at any cost destabalising governments, in some countries ,could be the result

(are you seeing more Chinese around interested in agricultural lands ,we do here in Mexico)

,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year

and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were no desserts.

collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like, over grazing and fertilizers,

as far as the food production is concerned, Global warming or some of its effects are serious, rising seas result in landloss

each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss

more landloss because of desertification every year,we have less areble land to produce food ,for an extra 70 million people ,

and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,

and there are less and less farmers to do it..

who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers

who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,

because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing

RISING SEAS

The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.

this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.

Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,

At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.

SOLUTIONS

if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness

education on family planning to curb over´populaion

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour

alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

recicling wastes,limit water use
