Do the Animal Deterrent Car Whistles really work? I have heard of the original wind activated whistles that go on the front of your car. They are supposed to make a whistling sound that lets the animals know you are coming, so they can get out of the way. I also found a new electronic whistle that attaches to your car battery, that is supposed to work better. Has anyone tried either of these? Do you think they work? Thank you!

Wind whistles don't. (frequency depends on speed for one thing.)

Electronic whistles might.

They might ALSO cause the animal crossing the road to freeze in place rather than continuing across the road.

Just drive carefully is your best bet.

I am also curious if these work!

I am also an excellent attentive driver and does the speed limit. I don't use a cell phone while driving and limit driver distraction.

However, I travel often by car and it's a long distance and it's on rural highways and I'm always petrified of hitting a deer. So I'm curious too~

Safer driving works just as well, Especially at night

If they really worked the auto insurance companies would make them mandatory. Nothing beats putting all your attention on driving. Turn off your cell phone when driving.

The ones by air work great the others sound like a fire hazard
